"Supporting Women’s Food Sovereignty in Ecuador"
In November 2023, we’re delivering a pilot program with 65 farmers in the Andes. This pilot project will support women to both increase revenues and have a positive impact on local and traditional food systems.
Our team conducted a needs assessment on the ground in August 2023, interviewing 49 farmers as well as local experts from the Ministry of Agriculture and the nonprofit sector. As our departure date nears, our curriculum team is hard at work in collaboration with an advisory group of women participants, a local agroecology expert, and a nutritionist to design programming to help women effectively leverage their assets for income and influence.
