Since our last gathering in June, we've been hard at work behind the scenes, preparing for a momentous change.
You may already be aware that a rebranding effort has been underway at Artistri Sud, including a new name, logo, and website.
Let us first and foremost reassure you that our core mission, vision, and values remain unaltered.
We continue to be wholeheartedly committed to empowering women globally through entrepreneurship, recognizing that financial independence is not just empowering for women themselves but also a driving force for positive change in the world.
The big news? We're expanding our horizons to include women engaged in sustainable food production. Why? The answer is simple: food systems worldwide are in crisis, and women are key players in biodiversity and nutrition.
Historically and today, especially in the global south, women are uniquely positioned to leverage their farms for both income and positive global impact.
Our program participants are women dedicated to sustainable farming, some even having organic certifications, but all share the commitment to not use chemical pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides on their land. With the guidance of partners and experts in these fields, we're designing innovative programs that support business development, income generation, and the promotion of biodiversity and nutrition.
These new areas of focus align with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals #2 and #15, addressing global challenges and environmental crises. We believe it's our responsibility to contribute to these vital areas, and that's precisely what we're doing.
As we venture into this new realm, we've also undergone an extensive rebranding. While we'll continue working with artisans who often double as farmers, our refreshed name and look reflect our expanding mission. Pro bono marketing and design experts have joined hands with us to create a new website and logo that encapsulate our ten years of history and impact as Artistri Sud while providing space for our evolving initiatives.
It's with immense pleasure that we present to you AWE: Action for Women's Empowerment Global. We absolutely love it, and we hope you do too.
AWE, to us, means so much more than just a name—it embodies the extraordinary potential of women worldwide. As we embark on our pilot project in Ecuador and continue our global mission, stay tuned for more updates. We look forward to the exciting journey ahead and the positive change we'll create together.
