Stronger Together: An Evening of Connection, Inspiration, and Impact

On April 15, AWE Global welcomed supporters, partners, volunteers, and community leaders to Stronger Together: Women Farmers, Sustainable Futures, an evening dedicated to celebrating the power of women’s leadership and the collective impact we can create when we come together. The event brought together a vibrant community of changemakers who share a common belief: empowering women creates stronger families, communities, and economies.  

The evening was held in recognition of both International Women’s Day and the United Nations’ International Year of the Woman Farmer. It provided an opportunity not only to reflect on the progress that has been made, but also to look ahead to the next chapter of AWE’s work supporting women entrepreneurs and women farmers around the world.  

An Inspiring Conversation on Leadership

A highlight of the evening was a thought-provoking presentation by leadership expert Marisa Murray, founder of Leaderley International. Through her insights on leadership, resilience, and personal growth, she challenged attendees to think about the role each of us can play in creating positive change. Her message resonated deeply with our audience and set the tone for an evening focused on possibility, collaboration, and action.

Celebrating Growth and Looking Ahead

Throughout the evening, guests learned more about AWE Global’s ongoing work to empower women through entrepreneurship and leadership training. Attendees also had the opportunity to hear about an exciting milestone for AWE: our program in Malawi. This expansion marks the first time AWE will be working in Eastern Africa, allowing us to extend our impact and support even more women in building sustainable livelihoods for themselves and their families.
